OMG 2 Movie Review :Akshay Kumar’s Unbelievably Cool Avatar Breaks the Internet!”

This is a tricky path where a movie tries to make a point without sacrificing its entertainment value. In order to fulfill Akshay Kumar’s superstar image and start debates about touchy subjects like sexual education, Amit Rai’s “OMG 2” takes a strong trajectory. ‘OMG 2’ was a sleeper hit in 2012, and Paresh Rawal was a key component. Pankaj Tripathi plays Kantilal Mudgal, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva from a tiny town, in the 2023 prequel.

Their lives and family are thrown into disarray when Kantilal’s teenage son becomes involved in an obscenity case because of a video showing him masturbating in his classroom. Vivek, the son of Kantilal, must deal with the shame associated with this deed as well as rejection from the school and society at large. Kantilal receives divine intervention from Akshay Kumar, who plays a devotee of Lord Shiva, to help him fight the court struggle. He is compelled by this to stand up to strong forces and defend his son’s self-esteem.

‘OMG 2’ has the right mix of humour, freshness and reality, with a dash of powerhouse acting delivered by a solid ensemble cast, led by Pankaj Tripathi. Amit Rai’s writing is sharp and money is placed on dialogue. From Kanti’s daughter to the supervising judge in her case to her assistant, everyone has been chosen such that the roles seem to have been written alive for these actors. No matter how big the clouds around the important subject of sex education get throughout the duration of the film, the pace and tempo of the film never lets up. Yami Gautam, who plays the school’s defense lawyer, is brilliant. We cannot think of any actor in the film who has not enthralled you with his performance.

Akshay Kumar feels apt for the role and has that mischievous smile and twinkle in his eye for the duration of the entire film. Her scenes with Tripathi are mainly high-octane. The way Rai organizes the taboo and mess around sex education is simply amazing.

On the flip side, on the other hand, the second half, especially the last 20-30 minutes, feels inconsistent and a bit overstretched. Court chests are sometimes faint and the pauses between conversations are too long.

On the whole, ‘OMG 2’ is a movie which has the right mix of everything. In short, it is an entertaining film with a valid message. Akshay Kumar fans will be in for one of his career best performances where the actor has delivered one of his career-best performances.
